Polonnaruwa Corps Opens

This marked a significant milestone with the opening and dedication of The Salvation Army Corps and Community Service Center in Polonnaruwa. After 12 years of operating from a rented space, the ministry now transitions to its own property, made possible through the generous support of The Salvation Army World Service Office (SAWSO). Since 2013, numerous impactful community development programs—such as safe water projects, livelihood support, and youth empowerment—have been carried out, enriching lives and advancing the mission. We warmly welcome Captains Shanika and Samantha Leerarathne and their family as they begin their ministry here. Gratitude is extended to all who supported this event, including government officials, project teams, and community members.
